Ashild Volume 1
Black and white comic representing the first volume of the series
Written and illustrated by: Gianmarco Bonelli
Ragnarok has begun, the final battle between the Asgardians and the forces of evil is upon us: the bonds
and the chains break, Fenrir frees himself and runs with his jaws open, destroying the nine worlds. The wolf is
at the gates of Asgard, close to fulfilling his destiny but...STOP! The magic tape, Gleipnir, which
held immobilized is reunited, Fenrir falls to earth and the end of the world is prevented.
On the ground a girl staggers and falls to the ground. She is missing an arm and the blood she has lost
causes death. A voice taunts her for the unworthy end, telling her that Valhalla will not welcome her.
Suddenly a mystical apparition, an enormous wolf, the origin of the taunts, speaks to her and offers her one
second chance.
Now the wolf and the girl, Ashild, are united in a symbiotic bond: he can only move the
neck because of Gleipnir and therefore depends on her to move, she depends on him to survive in
a world infested with Draughar, Valkyries and Jotnar and other creatures that have descended upon the land.
The strange couple will have to embark on a journey in search of two other wolves across the kingdoms
Norsemen that will literally take them to the end of the world.
