After being put to the test in the Spencer estate, transformed into a genetic research laboratory of the Umbrella Corporation, the survivors of the Raccoon City Special Tactics and Recovery Squad (STARS) attempt to warn humanity of the existence of a conspiracy aimed at creation of terrifying biological weapons. But the conspiracy is still underway, as the agents discover when they are declared outlaws by the same people who trained them. Forced into hiding, they decide to carry on the battle on their own, determined to track down Umbrella's experiments wherever they hide. Doctor and biochemist Rebecca Chambers, sole survivor of Bravo Team, joins a new STARS strike force in moment in which rumors arrive of another experiment conducted by Umbrella: under the rocky ridges of Caliban Cove, in Maine, someone is assembling an army of the undead. Inside a ghostly lighthouse, beyond a complex labyrinth of caves and inside a shipwreck, the agents must face other abominations and stop a mad scientist from unleashing his bioweapon on all humanity. However, there may be no chance of success, given that the new, aggressive virus created by Umbrella begins to infect its companions...
