One Piece is a manga written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. The Italian edition is edited by Star Comics, which began publishing it in books corresponding to the Japanese volumes on 1 July 2001. The story follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a boy whose body took on the properties of rubber after having inadvertently ingested the devil fruit Gom Gom. Gathering a crew around him, Luffy explores the Grand Line in search of the legendary One Piece treasure and chasing the dream of becoming the new Pirate King. The Shusui is one of the twenty-one O-grade Wazamomo swords to the samurai Ryuma. Zoro conquered it in battle during the Thriller Bark saga. Zoro had just lost the Yubashiri, a sword given to him by Ipponmatsu, together with the Sandai Kitetsu, due to the captain of the Shu Navy, gifted with the power to make metals rust. This managed to destroy the Yubashiri, leaving Zoro with two swords. Zoro then fought Ryuma's zombie, along with Shusui, to which Brook's shadow had been attached, which made Ryuma even more fearsome. After a tough battle the swordsman of the Straw Hat Crew prevailed, also taking Shusui as his.
