Shingeki no kyojin is a work set in a world where the survivors of humanity live in cities surrounded by huge defensive walls due to the sudden appearance of giants, enormous humanoid creatures that devour men for no apparent reason. The story revolves around the young Eren Jaeger and his adoptive sister Mikasa Ackermann, whose lives are turned upside down by the attack of a colossal giant that led to the destruction of their city and the death of their mother. The men established three military orders of protection: the Garrison Corps, the Gendarmerie Corps and the Reconnaissance Army. The latter is the order that runs the greatest risks and suffers the most losses; in years of defeats they have managed to perfect the Equipment to perform the Three-Dimensional Movement, a device that allows you to hover in the air offering great mobility in facing giants. The three-dimensional maneuvering device is the only way humans can fight the Titans effectively. It is powered by gas and is made up of various parts, the main ones being 4: 2 rectangular containers on the sides of the legs to carry 4 blades each in order to replace the broken ones (the alloy of these "slicing giant" swords is still unknown); on the back, just above the bottom, there is the device from which the gas comes out to increase the speed while in flight; on the sides there are two circular devices for launching the harpoons, an essential part for the three-dimensional maneuver; the last part are the handles of the swords (kenn). The blades are inserted into this special handle which has 2 levers, one for launching the harpoons and one for rewinding the line.
